Leave the next driver a better record.

What to capture when delivering or collecting a portable toilet so the office and the next driver have context.

Identify the individual unit

Several portable toilets can look alike at the same site. Record the unit number with the activity so a placement photo or access note belongs to the right asset.

Photograph the placement

Use a photo that shows the unit and enough of its surroundings to make the location recognizable. Avoid relying on a close-up of a door when the next driver needs to find an entrance across a large site.

Write the detail the address leaves out

Useful notes describe the entrance, a locked gate, blocked access, or a unit that has been moved within the property. Keep customer and site information in your operational records rather than scattering it across personal text threads.

Review exceptions with the office

A record of blocked access or damage gives the office something concrete to follow up on. Your team still needs a process for reviewing those exceptions and deciding what happens next.
