Locations

Know what a location pin actually tells you.

How driver-recorded locations differ from a live GPS tracker on a portable toilet.

A recorded location is a point in the history

Track Your Dump uses the information recorded through the driver workflow. A location pin helps your office see where a unit was last recorded. It does not mean a device is continuously transmitting from that unit.

Make the timestamp part of the decision

Read the location and its activity history together. A recent delivery record and placement photo tell a different story from an address recorded several weeks ago.

Keep field updates simple

Give the driver a consistent process: identify the unit, record the activity, and add the useful photo or note. A map is only as useful as the records behind it.

Know the limit

If someone moves a unit without recording it, the last recorded location can become outdated. A workflow based on field records does not replace a live GPS device or automatically detect a theft.
